 Hello Friends and Family,

Today we practiced another way to read a book - Read the Pictures!  As a class we read a wordless picture book called "A Ball for Daisy",  and told the story using the pictures.  Wordless picture books can convey a lot of emotion through illustration, and makes us think about what is happening in the story.  I can practice a lot of comprehension strategies this way, such as making connections, using picture clues, predicting, and thinking about character motivations.  They even help us better understand the elements of a story even without words.  We practiced reading the pictures with our table groups.   Some groups got to then retell the stories to the class.  Ask me about my story and what it's called!

Thanks for Reading!
