Hello Wild Rose and Mountain View Families!
Today we read the story "Alma and How She Got Her Name" by Juana Martinez - Neal, and discussed the stories behind our names and what makes them unique. We then created a visual journal page, using illustrations and writing, of what makes us special. In math, we worked on creating patterns using our names as the core.
Ask me about our "sit spot" and the story "No One But You" by Douglas Wood.
Special Homework:
The students were asked to discover the story of their name, so they may have some questions when they come home today. We will have an opportunity tomorrow to share the unique stories.
