Wednesday April 21st

 Happy Wednesday, Families!

Today we continued our learning about inspiring individuals and began writing about how we are leaders in our own community. We have been inspired over the year by leaders such as Autumn Peltier, Terry Fox, Mahatma Gandhi, and many more! Students wrote about they ways they are leaders, such as helping others when they are hurt, keeping our classroom and school clean, and re-using material to reduce our waste. Many students participated in author's chair to share their writing!

We continued our work on 'looking closely' in nature. Today, Ms. Shultz lead us in an outdoor drawing activity, with a focus on adding a variety of details within a small frame.

We also had a chance to listen and watch a reader's theatre group, doing a reading of Little Red Riding Hood. They showed us how to read with great expression!

Reminder: Tomorrow, April 22 is Earth Day!
