Hello Families!
We started the day by reading the book A Promise is a Promise by Robert Munsch & Michael Kusugak and were able to make connections to living in an Arctic community. (Fun Fact: You can go to the Robert Munsch website to listen to him read his stories.) After discussing "what good writing looks like," we wrote about our favourite things to do in winter. We have been working on making a good plan before we start writing, to help develop our ideas. In math, we continued to practice our strategies to make estimations. We really enjoyed checking to see how close our estimations were to the actual number of items. Ask me how I improved my estimation skills.
